Daan Becht is a commercial litigation lawyer. He has been working for THNa since 2015, specialising in litigating complicated commercial disputes and liability matters. He has extensive experience with levying and lifting prejudgment attachments. Besides litigating, he also advises companies on how to negotiate and draft commercial contracts.

Daan’s practice has a strong focus on companies in the industrial sector (particularly metals and chemicals), domestic and international trade, and insurance. He combines his detailed understanding of the law with practicality and a focus on solutions to resolve his clients’ commercial disputes.

Daan often works on cases involving international trade and the Port of Rotterdam. Many of the disputes concern breach of contract and the resulting financial implications. He draws on an extensive international network of lawyer to assist his clients. He also applies his experience and expertise to negotiate commercial contracts.

Daan Becht has an LLM in Company Law from Radboud University (2015) in Nijmegen. He also has a BA in English Language and Culture. He completed his specialist training in National and International Contracting in 2021 and graduated from the JCI European Academy in 2024.
