Milou Tiemensma has been working for THNa since 2020, as a lawyer specialising in litigation and insolvency law. She counsels companies in a wide range of disputes, and represents directors and company officers who are held liable. She also advises companies, particularly in the construction sector, that are facing financial difficulties or bankrupt principals or contractors. Her focus is on funding and security, and she assists companies through restructurings, including under the Dutch Scheme (WHOA).
Milou is a member of the Construction Market Group, applying her expertise where insolvency law and company law meet. Her particular area of focus is security and collateral in the construction sector. When she is not practising law, she chairs insolvency law association JIRA or writes for professional journals for bankruptcy trustees and restructuring experts.
Milou Tiemensma has an LLM in Private Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam (2019). She completed her follow-up professional training in 2020.
