Pim van Grieken has been working as a lawyer for THNa since 2020, specialising in contract law and maritime law. He has extensive experience negotiating and drafting commercial contracts, including for international deals, and litigates contractual disputes. He advises and litigates about a variety of matters under maritime law, including buying and selling vessels, collisions, attachments, charters and logistics contracts.
Born and bred in Rotterdam, Pim speaks the language of trade and the port. Most of his practice has an international focus, demanding pragmatic solutions for dynamic cases. Before he joined THNa, he worked for an international insurance company and a major law firm.
Pim is a member of the Port Market Group, focusing on complicated legal issues in the transport, logistics and trade sector. He advises companies that are involved in domestic and cross-border trade flows, never losing sight of his clients’ commercial interests.
Pim has an LLM in Corporate & Financial Services Law from the National University of Singapore (2018) and an LLM in Commercial & Company Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam (2019). He has also completed the advanced professional training for lawyers.
