Iris van Willegen

Iris is a construction law and rental law lawyer and is part of our Construction market group. With a specific focus on the Wkb (Quality Assurance Act for Construction), she advises a diverse client base, including contractors, (real estate) entrepreneurs and private individuals.

Her thesis on the meaning of the word 'construction work' in the new BW provisions with the introduction of the Wkb earned an 'honourable mention' at the IBR thesis award. In addition to her legal expertise, Iris also holds a bachelor's degree in psychology.

Outside her work, Iris enjoys cooking for friends and family. In her spare time, formerly an avid rower, she has traded competitive rowing for recreational sessions. She also enjoys cycling, swimming, running and ice skating.
