Rico van den Brink

Rico van den Brink has been working as a lawyer within the construction, administrative, and procurement law department since 2020. Rico specializes in procurement law and construction law, with a focus on infrastructure projects (such as bridges, quay walls, and locks) and commercial construction. He also dedicates himself to socially responsible procurement through sustainable, circular, and innovation-oriented purchasing.

Rico advises contracting authorities and market parties on procurement law in its entirety. He possesses extensive experience in areas such as invalid bids (for example, non-compliant, abnormally low, or unacceptably high bids), rectification of defects, substantial changes to government contracts, and disputes concerning selection or award decisions.

Additionally, Rico provides guidance to property developers, contractors, housing corporations, and other entrepreneurs in the real estate and construction sector. He offers advice on contract formation and risk management in complex construction projects and area developments, and provides legal support in disputes related to additional work, defects in work, and delay damages.

Rico is a member of the Association for Young Real Estate Lawyers (VJOJ) and the Dutch Association for Procurement Law (NVvA). He regularly shares his expertise through publications in professional journals (such as the Tender Newsletter) and serves as a lecturer for various in-company training programs and customized courses.
